Parry heads Hall of Fame game crew
We have learned that John Parry will have the first preseason game this year when his crew officiates the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. Because of a pair of odd labor situations, this is the first time a regular officiating crew will have this game in three years. Last year, an official from the Lingerie Football League headed a crew while the union officials were locked out. In 2011, the game was cancelled because the players had not resolved their impasse with the league in time to stage the game. And, this year, the replay officials are still negotiating a contract, but they have not been locked out or gone on strike.
The Dolphins and Cowboys will face off in this year’s exhibition kickoff game on Sunday night. The game will be seen on NBC.
Parry’s 2013 crew is listed below, although we haven’t confirmed if they are all assigned to the Hall of Fame game. We will update this post if we are made aware of any changes.
