Week 7 ‘Official Review’: Fumble scrum and ‘toe-ing’ the line

Dean Blandino, the vice president of NFL officiating, reviewed two calls from last weekend in his “Official Review” segment on NFL Network (video).

• A touchdown reception by Steelers receiver Antonio Brown was reversed in replay. Brown believed he had evidence that his foot in bounds via Twitter, but Blandino showed the angle that was definitive in reversing the call.
• The fumble recovery at the end of the Seahawks-Rams game was clarified. Our original report reflected information based on information from the official scorekeeper. Blandino stated that the Rams had the ball in possession at the bottom of the fumble pile. (Either ruling had the same spot.) We updated our previous post to reflect this new information.
