Football Zebras launches a weekly podcast: 1st & 25

Football Zebras introduces its first podcast today, called 1st & 25, a weekly roundtable discussion about what is happening in NFL officiating.
Ben Austro, founder and editor-in-chief of Football Zebras, said, “I keep getting asked, ‘Why don’t you do a podcast?’ And my answer has always been, ‘I will, as soon as I invent the 30-hour day.’ My invention has not succeeded, but we now have a podcast, and I will let our readers, now our listeners, decide if that is successful.”
Each weekly episode is 25 minutes long, and new episodes will drop on Tuesday mornings. Austro adds, “The podcast is formatted to be appointment listening during your lunch break.”
The name of the podcast, which calls back to the episode length, is a common situation in football when an unsportsmanlike conduct or personal foul is assessed against the offense. “The title shows a situation that would only exist if the referee got involved,” said Austro.
Weekly episodes will start Sept. 3, but an 8-minute teaser episode is already available. Episodes will be available wherever you listen to your podcasts. The podcast is a production of Equity Creative Group.
