Field judge John Robison was originally assigned to officiate Super Bowl XXXII, but lost the assignment due to a wrong call that was made in the Wild Card Playoff between the Vikings and Giants. His initial assignment was revealed when his name was printed in the Super Bowl program. Field judge Don Dorkowski, who officiated the NFC Championship Game earlier in the postseason, replaced Robison.
